CIS 2110 - Concepts of PC Hardware

Credits: 4
This course covers the hardware concepts found on the CompTIA A+ certification exams (Essentials and 220-602). In this course, students will learn how to purchase, upgrade, and maintain personal computer hardware and software. In addition to hands on experience, emphasis is placed on research and planning related to application and utility software and hardware purchases. Students will select and purchase the components necessary to build or upgrade a functioning computer and should anticipate expenses beyond the tuition for the course. Prerequisite: Microcomputer Applications I or equivalent.

Prerequisites: CIS 1041  or CIS-1042;
