Other Academic Opportunities

Skills Development

Proficiency in the basic skills of reading, writing, arithmetic, and computing is critical to your success. Before you enroll at CCV, you will take basic skills assessments. Not only will the assessments guide you in the course selection process, but they will provide you with feedback on your readiness to undertake college-level courses. Many students find that they need some developmental work to be ready for college-level courses.

Introduction to College Studies

CCV offers Introduction to College Studies (ICS) free to high school students. This non-credit course helps students develop skills and strategies for college success.

Workforce Education

CCV has expanded its workforce education offerings over the past year to meet the needs of a diverse group of businesses, organizations, and individuals.

Other Ways to Earn Credit

You can apply credits toward a CCV degree in several ways in addition to successfully completing your classes; examples include transferring credits, Assessment of Prior Learning, Focused Portfolio Development, credits by examination, course challenge, and credit for evaluated non-college learning.
