This certificate prepares students to use story structure and technical skills to create professionally executed short digital media projects. Courses in this certificate include concept development, pre-production planning, and hands-on experience with a full range of digital filmmaking skills that may be used to enhance current employment and prepare individuals for a wide variety of careers using new media.
Students who complete the Digital Filmmaking certificate can apply those courses to CCV’s Design & Media Studies (A.A.) + program.

Program Outcomes
Students who complete the certificate will be able to: - apply story structure and the language of film to create original and substantive works;
- demonstrate proficiency in the technical skills required at each stage of creating a short film production;
- demonstrate proficiency in pre-production planning, including research, treatments, shot lists, and storyboards;
- analyze cinemagraphic works using the elements of visualization, editing, and story structure;
- demonstrate preparedness for educational and career development in the student’s field of study.
