Medical Billing & Coding +
This certificate is designed for students looking for employment in the growing field of medical billing and coding and prepares students to take the American Academy of Professional Coders (AAPC) examination for Certified Professional Coders (CPC). To obtain the CPC credential, students will be required to demonstrate on-the-job coding experience in addition to passing the CPC certification exam. Those who pass the CPC, but have not yet met the work experience requirement, will be designated as an Apprentice (CPC-A). Students should review the AAPC’s certification requirements for additional information.
Students who complete the Medical Billing & Coding certificate can apply those courses to CCV’s Health Science (A.S.) program.
