This certificate prepares students to use story structure and technical skills to create professionally executed short projects in animation and film. Courses in this certificate include concept development, pre-production planning, and hands-on experience with a full range of animation and digital filmmaking skills that may be used to enhance current employment and prepare individuals for a wide variety of careers using new media.
Students who complete the Digital Media Production certificate can apply those courses to CCV’s Design & Media Studies (A.A.) program.

Program Outcomes
Students who complete the certificate will be able to:
- demonstrate effective use of story structure and the language of film to create original and substantive works;
- demonstrate proficiency in the technical skills of filmmaking and animation that integrate the various phases of production and result in professionally executed projects;
- craft original and compelling short story treatment, scripts, and story boards for animated, experimental or live action films that are professionally formatted and ready for production;
- apply the analytical tools of visualization and editing used to evaluate cinemagraphic works referencing story structure; and
- explore pathways and demonstrate preparedness for educational and career development in the student’s field of study.
