This certificate prepares students for clinical duties in a health care setting, working under the direct supervision of a physician or other health practitioner. Students will develop the skills and knowledge required to effectively perform clinical functions including patient intake and care, routine diagnostic and recording procedures, pre-examination and examination assistance, and the administration of medications and first aid, while adhering to legal and ethical standards in the field.
Students who complete the Clinical Medical Assisting certificate can apply those courses to CCV's Health Science (A.S.) program.
