The Professional Studies program prepares you for entry-level professional positions in a variety of settings. The program is designed to help the student master a wide variety of workplace skills. You also enjoy the flexibility to explore academic and workplace opportunities in various career fields or choose a single Focus Area.

Graduates of the Professional Studies program will be able to:

apply methods of bookkeeping, financial budgeting, and planning to professional workplace scenarios;

The Vermont State Colleges System’s (VSCS) Direct Admissions program gives CCV students guaranteed transfer admission to Castleton University, Northern Vermont University, or Vermont Tech. Direct Admissions students follow course maps that ensure classes taken apply to both their bachelor and CCV associate degree, saving them time and money.

Courses are listed in the order in which we recommend you take them. Professional Studies Electives
CHOOSE 12 CREDITS from ACC, AHS, BUS, CIS, COM, ECO, HTM, MEC, POS or INT 1520 , to focus on career areas of interest. Suggested Professional Studies Focus Areas include administrative management, banking, legal studies, non-profit management or manufacturing.
