Credits:4This course provides a comprehensive study of the basic principles of microbiology. A brief survey of the history of science is given. Emphasis is placed on understanding the variety and differences of microbes and their relationship to humans. Laboratory study accompanies the course and the successful completion of lab exercises is a partial requirement for the course. Prior learning in Basic Chemistry Workshop or biology equivalent is strongly recommended.
