ENG 2230 - African Literature Credits: 3 A survey of literature by and about Africans. The course includes traditional oral works, contemporary novels, short fiction, critical prose and poetry that addresses the political, historical, social, linguistic and cultural experiences of African peoples. Includes the development of African literature in relation to oral traditions, such as storytelling, song, drumming, dance, proverbs, and chant.
