MEC 2230 - Introduction to Robotics and Automation Credits: 3 This course introduces students to the role of robotics in advanced manufacturing and industrial automation. Students learn foundational skills necessary to program, operate, and troubleshoot industrial robotics. Topics include standards of robotic workplace safety, creating and testing programs, recording and editing positions, backup and restoration of programs, and tooling. Recommended prior learning: Principles of Manufacturing or one year of manufacturing experience.
