CIS 2230 - System Administration

Credits: 4
This course explores basic concepts of system management and provides students with theory to understand how operating systems work and to interpret the output of various management tools. Topics include practical issues in system administration including process, memory, and file system monitoring and performance tuning. Computer security is also discussed.

Prerequisites: Desktop Operating Systems . Recommended prior or concurrent learning: Network and Security Foundations.
