CIS 2230 - System Administration Credits: 4 In this course students explore the basics of system management. The course provides students with theory to understand how operating systems work and to interpret the output of various management tools. It also covers practical issues in system administration including process, memory, and file system monitoring and performance tuning. Computer security is also discussed. Recommended prior or concurrent learning: CIS 2150 Intro to Linux and CIS 2120 Concepts of Local Area Networks
