BUS 2010 - Concepts of Project Management Credits: 3
Students will work in teams to develop and manage an actual or simulated project carrying out ongoing activities involved in the running of a business. Features of the project may include operations management applications such as planning business layout; determining equipment needs; establishing operating procedures; selecting business location and distribution channels; managing computer-based operating systems; establishing company buying/purchasing policies; choosing vendors and negotiating contracts; carrying out daily operations; scheduling staff; maintaining inventory; and organizing shipping/receiving.
